You are invited to become a mentor for a 2025 ANCDS Student Fellow!

Dear ANCDS Members,

The ANCDS Membership Committee is seeking volunteer mentors for our 2025 Student Fellowship Award winners. All ANCDS Members are eligible to be a mentor. ANCDS offers this fellowship opportunity for full-time speech-language pathology Master’s and doctoral level students or those specializing in clinical neurologically-based communication disorders and sciences. This year, the ANCDS Membership Committee awarded 12 fellowships to applicants with a variety of research and clinical interests.

Fellowship awardees receive complimentary conference registration and ANCDS membership for one calendar year. As a result, many of the selected students will be first-time conference attendees. The theme for this year’s Annual Scientific Meeting is “Technological Advances and Ethical Decisions in Neurogenic Communication Disorders." The meeting will be held in-person in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. Student fellowship winners and mentors will be announced during the Business Meeting that day. To view the schedule and presentations, click here. We look forward to seeing everyone in-person this year.

If you are interested in serving as a mentor or have any questions, please email me at [email protected].

Thank you,

Miriam Carroll-Alfano, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, CBIS
Chair, ANCDS Membership Committee
