Course Description:
This self-study addresses perceptions of race, equity, diversity, and inclusion (REDI) within and outside of communication disorders. It also allows participants to reflect on their implicit biases and how this self-work will have a transformative influence on their work as clinicians, researchers, or leaders as they become an antiracist ally.
Learner Outcomes:
At the completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Examine and reflect on their perceptions of race, equity, diversity and inclusion (REDI) within and outside of the profession.
- Gather personal insight into what challenged their preconceived notions about how they see the world with race as a mitigating factor.
- Reflect and identify how their self-work will have a transformative influence on their work as clinicians, researchers, or leaders as they become an antiracist ally.
