BRE Accreditation Process
- Complete the online Intent to Apply for Residency Accreditation (IARA) form and submit the required fee
- Upon acceptance of the IARA, a Prospective Residency Program will complete the online Application for Residency Accreditation (ARA) and submit the required fee
- If review of the ARA results in recommendation for a Site Visit, the Prospective Residency Program will be placed into BRE Candidacy Status and may begin hiring residents
- A site visit will be scheduled within six months of residents beginning the BRE Candidate Residency Program, and following payment of the Site Visit fee
- Following a successful site visit, the BRE Candidate Residency Program will be awarded ANCDS BRE Accreditation for five years
- Accredited programs must submit annual reports and pay the annual accreditation maintenance fee
- Reaccreditation requires submission of an Application for Residency Reaccreditation and reaccreditation fee, and may be granted for up to 10 years
